RMS Dumpsters has rented roll-off boxes across the Omaha metro since 2014, about 50,000 deliveries so far by the company’s count. Michael’s job is the part you deal with: the phone, the schedule, the truck that shows up, and the invoice that matches the price on the website.

What Michael writes about

Most of what Michael writes answers the questions he hears on the phone every day: which box, how much weight, and when the truck comes.

Which box to rent

RMS rents seven sizes, from 10 to 40 yards. Michael’s sizing articles explain how big each box is, what fits in it, and when the next size up is worth the money. Start with the dumpster size guide.

Weight limits

Every box includes a set amount of weight, from one ton on the 10, 12, and 15 Yard to four tons on the 40 Yard, and anything over it is $65 per ton. Concrete, dirt, and brick go only in the 20 Yard Long Heavy Duty box, filled to the halfway point. Michael’s weight articles cover why those rules exist and how to stay under the line. The sizes and prices page has the included weight for every size, and what can go in a dumpster has the list of what cannot.

Delivery and pickup

Call in the morning, and the box is often on the ground before lunch; next day nearly always. Pickup is automatic on the seventh day unless you call or text for an earlier one, and extra days are $25 each. Michael’s delivery and pickup articles explain the drop, the clearance the truck needs, and what happens on day seven. The FAQ page has the short answers.

Dumpsters on a jobsite

Contractors and builders rent differently: more than one box, longer stays, and pickups on a schedule, daily, weekly, or monthly. Michael’s jobsite articles cover placement, loading, and keeping a site clean between pickups. Start with construction dumpster rental.
